Plans are to apply to only the two foundations, Utah Arts Council and Georege S. and Dorre Eccles Foundation, with which we have had rewarding ongoing relationships and which have contributed to UWAE over the years.
We welcome suggestions from members who know of foundations which contribute to the arts, know board members of such foundations, or have a contact person at such a foundation. We would gladly expand our development efforts to include such organizations. However, in the past we have written letters of intent and written grants to foundations which have been ignored and repeatedly not funded. We need to utilize our efforts judiciously by being more selective in our outreach for funding.
Plans include soliciting our members for donations as we have done in the past. We are most appreciative of these contributions. In the future we will become a bit more imaginative in having categories of giving for our donors and give mroe recognition to them.
