Membership. Starting in Feb. 2009, # of members added or lost:

Advanced Equity for Women and Girls through research.

Advanced Equity for Women and Girls through education.

We have provided scholarships for the seniors at Mill Creek Alternative High School to take college classes while also completing their high school year. We will also be giving scholarships at the end of the year to graduating seniors who have enrolled in college.

We have the plans for our first e-SMART (exploring science, math and related tech) girl's camp on July 28-29, 2010 in place. Recruiting girls has started. Dixie State is partnering this effort.

Advanced Equity for Women and Girls through advocacy.

Donna Dillingham-Evans spoke at a meeting regarding the state of women and girls particularly in education.

Enhanced AAUW's visibility in community.

Have held two fund raiser, Author's Luncheon, attended by 130+ community members and a Bridge Luncheon attended by 82 community members. The girls camp will also greatly add to our visibility. An author's Tea was held by the Entrada Country Club on March 27 with profits being donated to e-SMART attended by approximately 84 community members. An article is appearing in the May/June issue of ELAN, a magazine for women. The Spectrum will be covering our convention and the e-SMART camp in July.

Promoted Diversity.



Recruited new members.

We have an on-going effort to recruit new members…….. most often by current members inviting a new people to our meeting. We also announce our meetings in the local newspaper and women find us.
