WASATCH BRANCH
OF SALT LAKE COUNTY

AAUW promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change

Wasatch Branch Meetings

Meetings are generally the second Monday of each month, September through May. Branch meetings are held at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1580 E. Vine St., SLC.

Our branch’s Distinguished Woman, Dr. Sharyl G. Smith, was our guest and speakeat the May 12th Installation Dinner. Dr. Smith taught private and public school library media programs for nearly 40 years.
Since retirement she has organized a
committee of prominent Utah library/
media advocates to work on behalf of
Utah’s school libraries. Her goal is to
help reinstate teacher librarians to
collaborate with classroom teachers and to teach students skills proven vital to their achievement throughout lifelong
learning. Dr. Smith was nominated by Karla Kelner.

Opportuni-Tea contributions for the Educational foundation may be sent to Leona Blackbird.
